Is the app really free?
Yes. Om Mani is completely free, with every sutra and every feature open to everyone, no ads, no premium tier and nothing locked behind a payment. The app does include a Support (Hộ trì) section for anyone who wishes to help the app keep going; it is entirely voluntary and unlocks nothing.
What is the Support (Hộ trì) section?
It is a place to make a voluntary contribution that helps Om Mani keep going, grow new features, and reach more people around the world. Each contribution is a single payment that never auto-renews, and it unlocks nothing; the app stays completely free for everyone. See the Terms of Use for details.
Why don't I see the AI verse explanation?
This feature requires iOS 26.1 or later on an Apple Intelligence–capable device (with the feature enabled), and applies only to today's verse. On other devices, the app shows the detailed content as usual.
Does my data sync across devices?
Yes. Data syncs automatically through iCloud using your Apple account — no separate sign-up needed. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID and have iCloud Drive enabled on your devices.
How do I set reminders for events and holy days?
Open an event in the calendar and turn on its reminder; the app will send a local notification. If you don't receive notifications, check iOS Settings → Notifications → Om Mani is enabled.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. You can use Om Mani anywhere, with or without a connection: sutras, recitation, bell and wooden fish, the mala, meditation and the lunar calendar all run right on your device. Only a few things, such as the image gallery or downloading meditation music, need a connection the first time.
Can I play meditation music offline?
Yes. Meditation music supports offline playback so you can settle the mind even without an internet connection.
How do I change the language?
The app supports 24 languages. You can switch in the app's settings, or it follows your device's system language.
How is my privacy protected?
The developer does not collect your personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
